As a Virtual Assistant, I am a business owner just like you. At the beginning of this year, I was on a mission to do better with my social media. I had selected my social management tool, sourced & developed 2 months’ worth of content, and created my social media calendar.

The first month of the year I was making moves like Jagger, but come mid-February with the combination of my increased social media engagement, a new Google Ads campaign, and my regular clients back in the swing of things after the holiday season, I could no longer keep up with up with it. We are now heading into October, and I never got the momentum back from February.

Initially when I thought about it, I was so disappointed in myself, but after my 15-minute pity party I realized that my regular clients (and them sending me referrals) have been keeping me busy – so although I did not fulfill my social media goal for 2018, I am grateful that I managed to maintain and sustain as a one-person show.

Yes sustain, not grow.
