Bobbie Racette is Startup Canada’s Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year

2019 was a remarkable year for the Virtual Gurus team. All of us here in the Virtual Gurus family are thrilled for Bobbie Racette. The founder and CEO of Virtual Gurus was named Indigenous Entrepreneur of the Year by Startup Canada.

Startup Canada hosted its sixth annual national Startup Canada Awards on October 23rd 2019 in Toronto. This annual event showcases the talents and recognizes the achievements of outstanding Canadian entrepreneurs. Bobbie took home the Indigenous Entrepreneur Award presented by Mastercard.

Bobbie is an unstoppable force in the Canadian startup community. She prides herself on building an inclusivity-first company, championing for indigenous people and the LGBTQ+ community. Virtual Gurus is creating positive social impact in the indigenous community. We are providing employment opportunities to individuals who live in remote areas, who otherwise would not have access to employment.
